Privacy Policy

VidGrably is a free, browser-based tool for downloading public videos from supported platforms (currently TikTok and X/Twitter). We built it to do one job with as little of your data as possible: no account is required, we don't ask you to log in, and we do not store the videos you download. This page explains exactly what is and isn't collected.

We deliberately collect very little:

• No account data. There's no sign-up, login, email collection, or profile. We never ask for your TikTok or X credentials, and we never interact with your accounts on those platforms.
• The link you paste. The video URL you submit is used only to resolve and stream that video to your device for that request. We don't build a history of the links you've downloaded.
• The video file. Downloads stream from the source platform through to your device. We do not save, cache, or keep a copy of your video on our servers after the download completes.
• Limited technical data. Like most websites, our servers may briefly process your IP address as part of handling a request — see “IP addresses and logs” below.

To keep the service available and prevent abuse, we apply rate limiting (a cap on how many requests come from a single source in a short window). This uses your IP address transiently — it is held only long enough to count recent requests and is not used to identify you, build a profile, or track you across sites. Standard server logs may record request metadata (such as IP address and timestamp) for short-term security and operational purposes.

The downloader itself works without any tracking cookies. When you first visit, we show a cookie banner: analytics (and any future advertising) cookies are only set after you choose “Accept”. If you choose “Reject,” no analytics or ad scripts are loaded and the site still works normally. Your choice is remembered in your browser so you aren't asked again, and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data.

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — which pages are visited, rough traffic volume, and broad audience location. Google may set cookies to do this and processes the data under its own privacy terms. We use it only to improve the site; we do not use it to identify you personally. If you reject cookies, Google Analytics is never loaded.

VidGrably does not currently display ads. If we add advertising in the future, it may be served by third-party networks (for example, Google AdSense) that can set cookies or use similar technologies to show and measure ads. When that happens, we will update this policy to name the provider and explain your choices, including how to opt out of personalized advertising. Until then, no ad provider is collecting data through this site.

The minimal data described above is used only to: deliver the download you requested, keep the service running and secure (rate limiting and abuse prevention), and diagnose technical problems. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to build advertising or marketing profiles.

To fetch a video you ask for, your request necessarily reaches the source platform (TikTok or X) and may pass through standard hosting infrastructure. Those platforms handle data under their own privacy policies. We don't share your data with third parties for their own marketing.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because we don't maintain accounts or persistent profiles, we hold very little that is tied to you — but if you have a request or question, contact us using the details below.

VidGrably is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy as the service evolves — most importantly, before introducing advertising or analytics that change what is collected. When we make material changes, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above.
